About Bretagne & Eli
Two life-size canine bronze statues at the center of the Service Dog Memorial, honor Bretagne & Eli.
Bretagne was a member of Texas Task Force One and the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department. She was the last surviving 9/11 Ground Zero Search and Rescue Dog. Bretagne died 6/26/16 at the age of 16.
Eli, a military dog, who lives happily in Orange Grove, TX with the family of his former handler, LCPL Colton Rusk (KIA 2010).
